Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to function calmly and efficiently in a high-pressure, multi-tasking environment
  • Conduct Pre/Post trip vehicle inspections
  • Deliver and pick up packages daily within the prescribed time window
  • Deliver electrical supplies in the greater Chicago area
  • Load materials onto truck
  • Move materials to other parts of the warehouse
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Unload materials from the truck
  • Verify and package the product for shipping (labeling, shrink wrapping, boxing)

Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Clean driving record, no accidents in the last 3 years
  • Commercial Driver's License not required
  • Drivers work 5 plus days a week
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs, reach above the head, and enter/exit van during shift
  • Operate delivery vehicle safely
  • Pass a drug screening
  • Works well under stress with deadlines

Willow Electrical Supply is seeking to hire full-time warehouse employees for our Schiller Park, IL location. This is a PERM opportunity with room for growth and advancement. Prior warehouse or distribution experience is preferred but will consider a highly motivated individual with a willingness to learn. All full-time positions are based on 40 hours per week.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to:

Picking

  • Review orders accurately
  • Pick the required products from shelf to cart quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team atmosphere
  • Report to Warehouse Manager / Warehouse Management team
  • Ensure order accuracy

Packing

  • Must be able to operate carts, dollies, hand trucks and other moving equipment to move large quantities of merchandise
  • Applicant must have general knowledge of computerized packing environment to include experience with hand held scanner, computer keyboard, and mouse
  • Have the ability to pack orders safely & efficiently
  • Have general understanding of UPS, Fedex shipping labels
  • Must be able to lift boxes weighing 2-50lbs and stand in packing station for extended period of time
  • Must be able to maintain effectiveness and composure at all times while working closely with co-workers and management

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Alternating Saturdays

Experience

  • Relevant (2 years) required
  • Customer Service (3 years)
  • Forklift Certification
